PFW: Dries Van Noten AW 2012
Today the Antwerp-born designer brought us a combination of the serene with the regal. In burnt orange and sludge-y greens, the colour palette was practical and touched upon military moments - heightened by high necks on smart outerwear. But it brightened up, too, to teal which closed the show in a series of floor-length dresses, deep V-necks and those elasticated waists. As usual there was an effortless and an ease - which is what Van Noten specialises in - and, when you’re on the last leg of fashion month, is always welcome.
